Bishop Sherman Collins

Bishop Sherman Collins is the oldest of eight blessed children born to the wonderful parents of Eugene Collins, II and beloved mother Mark Ella Collins of Kankakee, Illinois. He has five lovely children that he loves dearly. Bishop Collins and his brothers began singing gospel throughout the community and other states, in their early years. Being exposed to radio, TV, and recording artists in the 1970's, he reached the hearts of youth as well as the people in the city and throughout Chicago land. After receiving Christ at an early age, Bishop Collins' ministry was launched during this twenties. he began preaching the gospel at the age of twenty-seven and was formally under the leadership of Pastor Charles R. Copeland of Pentecostal Powerhouse Ministries, and later moved under the leadership of Pastor Dist. Elder Tubbie L Gordon of Christ Temple Ministries of Bradley, Illinois. He served faithfully as minister, musician, and Sunday school teacher, assisted in WKAN Broadcasting Brotherhood Chairman of the Church as well as part of Illinois District Council of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. He has worked faithfully towards the call of the Kingdom Building

On September 8, 2006, a burden of heaviness fell upon Elder Collins to shepherd souls for the kingdom of God. October 11, 2006, he was called on by God to do a great work for him. God kept him up throughout the night and give him a vision and a word which came from I Timothy 1:18 verse. While praying for clarity and specific direction from God, he humbly expressed the calling to his pastor, and what God had directed him to do. With his pastor's blessings, Elder Collins was aware of the enormous task set before him. He also knew that God, who had called him to his assignment, would grant him the strength needed to carry out his purpose and plan. On October 18, 2006, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, International Healing and Deliverance Center held its first Bible Study at the Quality Inn in Bradley, IL, later in the year, on January 7, 2007, IHDC had its very first Praise and Worship service, where God's people experienced the presence of God's anointed lives and were transformed unto the glory of God. As IHDC continue to advance toward God's Kingdom, our focus is that we continue to be the voice and hand that encourages people to change their lives spiritually, physically and mentally, with hope, comfort and peace.

In 2014, The Lord instructed Bishop Sherman Collins and his wife Prophetess Linda Collins to relocate to the Greater DFW area and continue the work started in Kankakee, ILL. Since then, have been teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ in the Denton County North of Greater DFW area. In Denton County the ministry is known as Greater International Healing & Deliverance Center. It is a ministry founded on a biblical principles, serving in the Spirit of Excellence with the Integrity and Compassion for our Community, our Nation, and our World. GIHDC is a body of baptized believers committed to opening the eyes of the unsaved to transform them from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to the power of God.
